PETALING JAYA:
Controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin says Pakatan Harapan should brace itself for a huge disappointment in GE14, a day after ripping into the Opposition and calling them liars and frauds.

Commenting on the “Save Malaysia” campaign, led by former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and involving politicians from both sides of the divide and civil society leaders, Raja Petra said the movement’s Citizens’ Declaration was exactly what Umno had been hoping for.
He said whatever threat Najib was facing had now been removed as it had now been shifted to Umno.

“Because of that, Umno will unite and will stand behind Najib.”

He also said suspended Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir risked being sacked from the party if they continued “to play this game”.

“And it will be Umno and not Najib who will demand their sacking,” he said in his latest post on his MalaysiaToday website.

The Manchester-based blogger also said the “Save Malaysia” campaign was an “old thing that has been given new life”.

“The fact that they keep moving the goalposts every time they seem to be losing the game is further proof that the reason they want Najib ousted is not as what they claim.”

He said those who opposed Najib first cited the GE13 results, which were worse than the GE12 results, followed by the Crooked Bridge issue and Najib’s closeness to Singapore.

This was then followed by the 1MDB issue and the allegation that Najib had stolen RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money.

When this was proven untrue, Raja Petra said the next reason was the RM2.6 billion that Najib was alleged to have stolen from 1MDB and which they alleged was banked into his personal bank accounts.

“What more do they have on Najib to use as the excuse to kick him out? Hardly anything, really, and Dr Mahathir knows this.”

He said this was why Mahathir resigned from Umno and was trying to reinvent himself as the new joint de facto Opposition leader, together with Anwar Ibrahim.

He also said what Mahathir and DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang – once bitter rivals – were doing could be considered political prostitution.

Raja Petra also continued his attack on DAP, reiterating the party was no different from the Communist Party of Malaya and said this was why Malays were not going to vote for the party nor PKR or Amanah, who were seen as DAP running dogs.
