PETALING JAYA:
Animal lovers touched by the kindness of AirAsia have thanked the low-cost carrier for adopting three stray dogs at their new headquarters in Sepang.

According to an entry in the AnimalCare website, it was learnt that the strays were already occupying the premises at RedQ when AirAsia relocated there.

Rather than evict their canine and feline occupants, the management decided to adopt them instead, even going to the extent of dressing the dogs in red collars for a more complete corporate look.

The dogs now “patrol” the grounds, even making their rounds in the parking lot to ensure all is okay, and when off duty, lounge in the sun to while their time away.

AirAsia’s act of kindness has earned the appreciation of not only the strays, but also animal lovers, who made their approval heard on the AnimalCare website.

Tammie Xie said, “Thanks so much for adopting these beautiful doggies. I will surely support and recommend AirAsia to all friends. Kindness begets Kindness. Way to go Air Asia! Thank you once again!”

Equally thrilled was Shakira Manaf who wrote, “Good job & be proud Red Q Doggies!!! SYABAS AIR ASIA!!!!” while Catherine Sta Maria wrote, “Well done AirAsia. What a wonderful example. You have my utmost respect and continued support.”

Emelia weighed in saying, “Terima kasih. Saya bangga dgn cara pihak AirAsia tunjukkan. Semoga terus berjaya. (Thank you. I am proud of AirAsia’s gesture. All the best.)

Some of the comments show that the airline may even have won new customers, with Ana Luz-Raymond saying, “Well done AirAsia! You have me as your customer from now on.”

There is also a cat there, said AnimalCare, who thanked the airline for showing an “excellent example of corporate kindness and compassion”.
