
It returned a net profit of RM108.7 million for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2022, or 113% higher than the RM51 million recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue for the same quarter rose 85% to RM720.5 million compared with RM389.8 million in Q3 2021.
For the nine-month period, the net profit rose 106% to RM308.2 million from RM149.8 million in the previous corresponding period.
Revenue was up 60% to RM2.1 billion in the first nine months of 2022 from RM1.3 billion previously.
“The results demonstrated the brewer’s continued efforts to drive sustainable growth amidst the improving external environment post-pandemic,” the company said in a statement today.
Compared with the same quarter in 2019, Heineken showed a 26% rise in net profit, and a 39% improvement compared with the corresponding nine-month period in 2019.
The company said its strong performance for the first three quarters of 2022 was driven by the festivities of the Chinese New Year celebrations, steady recovery for its on-trade business as well as better revenue and cost management.
Heineken managing director Roland Bala said the company’s performance was also driven by the resumption of economic activities and recovery of the tourism sector.
