TRC Synergy’s unit, Trans Resources Corporation, has entered into a contract with BHIC Submarine Engineering Services for scheduled maintenance works, worth RM125 million in Sabah.

TRC Synergy Bhd’s subsidiary, Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd has entered into a contract worth RM125 million with BHIC Submarine Engineering Services Sdn Bhd.

The five-year contract entails scheduled and corrective maintenance works at Zone D, Jetty Facility Building, Bosun Building, Floating Breakwater Jetty, Shiplift Jetty, and safety conditioning facilities at the Royal Malaysian Navy Submarine Base in Sepanggar Bay, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction company stated that the project would not impact the issued and paid-up share capital, substantial shareholders’ shareholdings, net assets per share, or gearing of the TRC Group.

“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the board believes that the project will contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of the TRC Group in the future,” it said.

At the close of trading, TRC’s share price was up by 1 sen or 2.2% at 46.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM223.43 million.
