The new Gocycle G4 is shaking up the world of folding e-bikes, notably with its 16.6-kg lightweight design and its high-tech screen. It’s the kind of innovation that can help us live better, differently and with less.
This model debuts a new electric motor, the G4drive, located in the bike’s front wheel.
This quiet motor promises improved torque, especially at low speed. Its removable lithium-ion battery takes three hours to charge for a range of around 65 km. This rises to around 80 km for the G4i version.
In addition, the e-bike has a veritable vehicle-inspired dashboard, bringing together all the information that a rider might need. Note that the Gocycle manufacturer, Karbon Kinetics was founded by former McLaren engineer Richard Thorpe.
This e-bike stands out with its automotive-inspired adjustable driving position.
The seat post and frame geometry – combined with height- and reach-adjustable handlebars – provides adaptable fitting with superior comfort levels for a wide range of body types.
It even has a USB port for charging your smartphone while you ride.
With no cables, chains, gears or cogs, this easily foldable e-bike is easily transportable. Plus, the use of lightweight materials makes it even more portable, with a total weight of 16.6 kg. This drops to 16.3 kg for the G4i+ thanks to its carbon wheels.
Note that the Gocycle G4 range starts at a suggested retail price of US$3,999.
