While Mr Churros is a nationwide franchise, this is more than just a roadside setup; it’s a gathering spot for the neighbourhood folks, especially in the afternoons.
People of all stripes – housewives, office workers, students and more – can often be seen lining up to get their hands on this crispy-licious snack.
The sweet aroma of freshly fried churros wafts through the air, creating a sense of warmth that draws people in from all corners of Bandar Kinrara 4 and sometimes even farther.
The success of Mr Churros in the area is a testament to the power of community: neighbours gather here not just for the delectable snacks but also to catch up on the latest happenings and forge connections.

Of course, the star of the show is the churros themselves. Irresistibly crispy, each bite is a symphony of textures.
Zam (not his real name), who mans the stall here, said he starts work early to make the churros in time to welcome the lunch crowd.
First, he heats up the pre-packaged batter in water and, once it boils, pours it into a bowl of flour to make the churro dough.
He then fills the churro maker with the dough and, once the oil gets piping hot, turns the lever before swiftly cutting lengths of the dough directly into the wok.
In a day, he fries up to 1,000 pieces of churros and, on weekends, up to 1,500 pieces.

In terms of a review, Mr Churros easily earns top marks. The exterior is flawlessly crispy, giving way to a soft and doughy interior. The churros are neither too greasy nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance that keeps you reaching for more.
Of course, churros are best enjoyed with dipping sauces and here, you can choose between classic milk and dark chocolate. Whichever you prefer, the chocolate is velvety and rich, elevating the churro experience to new heights.
Otherwise, go for the caramel sauce to add a delightful twist. You can also opt for a generous sprinkle of zesty cinnamon sugar, which adds a layer of complexity to the taste.

“Our slogan is ‘the most addictive churros in town’,” Mr Churros area manager Wan Aiman Wan Haidar told FMT Lifestyle. “Thank God, we have many repeat customers who said they are indeed addicted to our churros!
“Some of the feedback we’ve received is that even after a couple of hours, our churros are still crispy.”
So, the next time you find yourself strolling through this lively Bandar Kinrara neighbourhood – or one of its many locations throughout the country – make sure to stop by this stall decked in red, where the churros are golden brown and the dipping sauces divine.
