Ordering online has become essential during the pandemic. Thanks to the various service providers in the market, you can have your meals, groceries and other purchases delivered directly to your doorstep.

Since Malaysians are the ultimate foodies, here are 10 meal delivery services to choose from – some of which are more well-known than others.

1. Grab Food

Grab Food, part of the e-hailing company, is an easy way for users to order food and other essentials, which are delivered by Grab riders.

Many of the outlets on their list offer the same prices as in-store, which is convenient and ensures you are not spending unnecessarily apart from delivery charges.

2. Foodpanda

This sure is one famous panda! Look for your favourite meals through the Foodpanda app and have them sent to you by riders with their trademark pink delivery bags.

3. AirAsia Food

Yup, multiservice company AirAsia also provides food delivery. Satisfy your cravings by ordering through the AirAsia website or via its mobile app.

4. Delivereat

Delivereat began in 2012 to cater to hungry Penangites, and is a platform that provides food and other delivery services.

Select your favourite meals from nearby eateries, or send pre-cooked meals or parcels to your loved ones.

5. Hometaste

Missing mum’s homecooked meals? With Hometaste, you can have these delivered directly to you every day.

The company, which began in 2017, connects home-based chefs with customers all over the Klang Valley.

6. Pop Meals

Pop Meals is not your normal everyday food delivery service – they prepare the food themselves before delivering it to their customers.

Meals are created in their own kitchen and are reasonably priced. You can also subscribe to Pop Meals SELECT, which grants a 20% discount for every purchase.

7. EasyEats

EasyEats is, as its name implies, committed to making food delivery swift and simple through its “data-driven restaurant management system aided by digital infrastructure”.

It’s all very technical, but the bottom line is, this startup – which began in 2019 – allows restaurants to connect directly with customers in a hassle-free fashion.

8. RunningMan Delivery

No, this is not related to the Korean “Running Man” television series. The company offers delivery services without any minimum order, with fees starting from as low as RM1.

RunningMan provides a wide variety of food choices, including from hawker stalls and kopitiam, and has served more than 30,000 hungry customers around the Klang Valley.

9. FoodTime

The founders of FoodTime had the vision of creating a “mobile food court” that assures customers only need to pay for what they order, with no additional charges.

Users are also granted access to special discounts and vouchers, thus being able to enjoy their favourite meals for less.

10. EASI

Apart from food, EASI connects customers with merchants who provide a variety of services, such as florists, cleaners and laundromats as well as document and parcel delivery.
