KOTA KINABALU: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) president Jeffrey Kitingan has welcomed pledges to allocate deputy prime ministers posts for Sabah and Sarawak, but insists this is not as important as reclaiming Sabah’s right to 40% of the state’s revenue.
“If Putrajaya fulfils this financial obligation, which is already in the Federal Constitution, the Sabah government will be able to carry out all its development plans instead of relying on federal grants, even without a deputy prime minister (from Sabah).”
