M Express going places with latest partnership tie-ups

Partnerships with SkyNet Worldwide Express and BOXiT Holdings will fast forward the express delivery company's presence domestically and globally.

M Xpress Sdn Bhd is set to capture a bigger share of the express delivery services industry by forming partnerships with two other renowned brands in the express delivery and parcel lockers industry respectively.

The partnerships with SkyNet Worldwide Express and BOXiT Holdings Sdn Bhd became official today, a move that will propel M Express domestically and globally as it further strengthens its network and business connections.

Peter Chan, Group Managing Director of the Sure-Reach Group and M Xpress, said the partnerships would help the company achieve its aspiration of becoming one of the top express delivery service companies in the country and region.

The Sure-Reach Group has about 13 years’ experience in express delivery services and logistics and provides warehousing and distribution services. It operates over 60 service stations throughout Malaysia and is supported by a network staff strength of over 600 and a vehicle fleet of over 120.

“We have grown over the years by bringing new and relevant technologies and improving our processes in line with market trends and customers’ expectations.

“With M Xpress now appointed as SkyNet Worldwide Express’ exclusive network member for Malaysia, we can reach over 1,000 cities in more than 200 countries globally,” he said.

Equally pleased with the partnership was Robert M Rawcliffe, Regional Director (Asia Pacific) of SkyNet Worldwide Express, who congratulated M Express on its re-branding and said he was sure the company would continue to provide “excellent service as our network member”.

M Express was formerly known as Sure-Reach Worldwide Express Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile the company’s partnership with BOXiT Holdings will allow M Xpress clients to collect their parcel deliveries 24-hours a day, every day at selected 7-11 stores.

In the initial stage, BOXiT will have Parcel Lockers in about 20 locations in the Klang Valley. BOXiT’s Parcel Lockers are an alternative to mailboxes and an ideal drop-off solution for consumers who either work or are not always at home.

Speaking about ICT advancements and e-commerce growth in Malaysia and the Asean region, Chan said market demand for logistics facilities and services in the country had been increasing year by year.

“The demand stems from the urgent need for companies to be competitive and to thrive in their marketplace by delivering the right products at the lowest cost if possible, in the right quantity, in the right place and at the right time.

“And, where our clients outsource their delivery needs to us, M Xpress is here to help them fast forward their businesses,” said Chan.

The partnership signed by Chan, Rawcliffe and Chiang Zeliang, Chief Operating Officer of BOXiT Holdings was witnessed by Jailani Johari, Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia and Mohd Daruis Zainuddin, Chairman of Sure-Reach Group.
