KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is monitoring several politicians in the state on suspicion of corruption, says its director, Moh Samsuddin Yusof.

He, however, declined to give details of the politicians.

“What I can say is that the MACC is monitoring the politicians before any follow-up action is taken,” he told reporters when met at his office here today.

In another development, eight government officers and personnel, and a member of the public in the state were detained in connection with bribery last year.

“They were detained for allegedly receiving between RM500 and RM5,000 each in bribes from several individuals,” said Moh.
