KUCHING:
Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has sacked five of its top leaders, including Joseph Entulu Belaun, its deputy president who is also minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, for questioning the party’s list of candidates for the coming polls.

PRS president James Masing said four others sacked by the party were Lubok Antu incumbent William Nyallau Badak, as well as Nyempah Sabot, Edward Kurik and Adriana Chumang.

All five are members of the party’s Supreme Council.

Masing said the decision had been conveyed to Barisan Nasional chairman Najib Razak.

“If they want to contest as independents, that is their business, but they cannot represent PRS any more,” he told reporters today.

Entulu, the Selangau MP, was earlier dropped from PRS’ line-up. He was replaced by Rita Insol, former legal head of Bintulu Port Holdings.
