PETALING JAYA:
Mohamed Azmin Ali has taken the lead in the race for the PKR deputy president’s post against rival Rafizi Ramli after a round of voting in Sarawak today.

According to unofficial results, Azmin has won in 16 out of 21 divisions in Sarawak with 1,350 votes. Another seven divisions are set to vote tomorrow.

However, the results from the Julau division have been suspended after four tablets used in the e-voting were found to have been hacked with an app which wiped out data from the tablets.

Azmin won in the Mas Gading, Bandar Kuching, Kota Samarahan, Batang Sadong, Batang Lupar, Lubok Antu, Betong, Saratok, Kanowit, Lanang, Mukah, Selangau, Hulu Rajang, Bintulu, Baram and Lawas divisions, while Rafizi won in the Serian, Kapit, Sibuti, Miri and Limbang divisions.

The unofficial results so far indicate that Azmin, the incumbent, is leading Rafizi by nearly 4,000 votes after polls in 13 states.

Azmin has so far secured 60,075 votes against Rafizi’s 56,083 votes.
