
KUALA LUMPUR: A two-storey house belonging to a senior officer of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in Taman Suria Tropika, Seri Kembangan, caught fire yesterday. Arson is suspected.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Norizham Mohd Nudin said three fire engines with 15 firemen, from the Serdang and Puchong fire stations, were sent to the scene after being alerted at 2.37pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he told Bernama.
Meanwhile, according to a source, when the incident happened, the officer, who is in his late 30s, was on duty at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.
His wife and children were also not at home.
Sepang police chief Abdul Aziz Ali confirmed receiving a report on the incident.
