
The surge represents the second time the price for RON97 has increased this month.
The prices of RON95 and diesel, meanwhile, remain at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre respectively.
In announcing the fuel prices, the finance ministry said the actual price for RON95 should be RM2.50, but the government has decided to maintain the price to ensure a lower living cost for Malaysians.
The actual price for diesel should be RM2.46.
