Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,929 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 198,495.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 251,604.
There are 52,186 active cases with 285 patients being treated in intensive care and 131 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 14 deaths take the toll to 923.
The new cases today involved 3,283 local infections and five imported cases. Local cases comprised 1,889 Malaysians and 1,394 foreigners.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases again with 1,757. Other states and federal territories that recorded three-digit infections were Kuala Lumpur (408), Johor (369), Negeri Sembilan (157), Sarawak (135) and Sabah (132).
They were followed by Melaka (92), Penang (59), Kedah (48), Kelantan (44), Perak (42), Terengganu (24), Pahang (14), Putrajaya (four) and Labuan (three). Perlis did not record any cases today.
There were 63 cases from prisons and detention centres, most of which came from the Tembok Sungai Udang (46) cluster.
The 14 deaths today were all Malaysians aged between 36 and 94 years old. All but two suffered from existing medical conditions.
