Meanwhile, he also announced that a few localities in Sabah and Sarawak would go under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) following a sudden increase in Covid-19 cases.
He said the localities include the Sungai Tenegang Factory Housing in Kinabatangan, Sabah. Kampung Baji in Sarikei and Sungai Rassau in Batang Igan, Matu, both in Sarawak, will also go under EMCO.
The EMCO in the three localities will be from April 3 to April 16.
Meanwhile, speaking on the arrests yesterday, he said 100 people were detained, where 91 were issued compounds and nine remanded.
Among the offences were flouting physical distancing rules (89), crossing state or district borders without permission (10), and others (1).
Ismail also said authorities arrested 60 illegal immigrants and seized 10 vehicles under Op Benteng.
Enforcement set up 259 roadblocks as part of the border monitoring operations.
