PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 will increase by two sen for a second consecutive week, while the price of RON95 and diesel remains unchanged.
RON97 will retail at RM2.65 per litre.
RON95 will remain at RM2.05 per litre, and diesel also unchanged at RM2.15 a litre.
The new rates will be effective from June 10 until June 16.
The finance ministry said the government would continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people.
“To protect the consumers from global oil price increases, the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, even though the market price (derived from the Automatic Pricing Mechanism) for RON95 and diesel has increased beyond the current ceiling price,” it said in a statement.
