PETALING JAYA:
Police will call in two groups of neighbours who were caught on camera arguing and brawling over potted plants and parking spots.

According to a Berita Harian report, Shah Alam police chief Baharudin Mat Taib said they had received two police reports on the matter.

Baharudin said investigations found that the heated argument, which turned physical, took place on Friday at 3pm at a housing area in Section 24.

The fight is believed to have stemmed from a dispute over potted plants and parking spots.

Though both parties have since withdrawn their police reports, Baharudin said investigations will continue and that all of those involved will be called in to give their statements.

“The investigation paper will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor as soon as possible for a decision.”

In the video of the incident, which has since gone viral, several women were seen engaging in a war of words with some men.

This then escalated to pushing each other and objects, including potted plants, being thrown. One of the men was also seen holding a sharp object in his hand.

Baharudin said the case is being investigated under Section 427, 269, and 148 of the Penal Code and for breach of Covid-19 SOPs.

Those found guilty can be jailed or fined.
