PETALING JAYA:
Controversial Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has run into trouble again – he has been fined for breaching movement control order SOPs while in Parliament.

In a statement, Sentul district police chief Beh Eng Lai noted that Twitter user @sultanoftasik had uploaded a picture of Tajuddin in Parliament without a mask on.

He said investigations found that the picture was taken when Tajuddin attended yesterday’s special sitting of the Dewan Rakyat.

“Around 2.30pm that day, he was found not to have worn a mask when he was with another individual in the hallway of the Parliament,”

Beh said a compound notice was issued to the MP at 1pm today.

“The police wish to advise the public to always comply with MCO SOPs by wearing a face mask and practicing physical distancing in a public space in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 infections,” he added.

Beh said the total amount of the fine will be decided by the district health office soon.
