The King is expected to remain there for a few days.
An official statement, issued by the Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, said the King will undergo a health check-up and follow-up on the “intervention treatment” that he underwent for his knees and ankles back on Sept 24, 2020.
The King had undergone the treatment after an MRI scan indicated injury to his legs sustained due to sporting activities.
The statement said the scheduled follow-up treatment for the King had been postponed since 2020 following the enforcement of Covid-19 SOPs at government hospitals, including IJN.
“The King has consented to undergo a respiratory check-up as well. He is doing well and there is no need to be worried about his condition.
“The King is expected to return to Istana Negara in a few days after finishing his follow-up treatment.
“We call upon everyone to pray for his quick recovery and good health,” the palace said.
