PETALING JAYA:
Muda information chief Luqman Long has apologised after the party’s Kedah chapter implied in a Facebook post late last night that Pakatan Harapan, PKR and other coalitions are corrupt.

Luqman said this post was clearly made to cause a misunderstanding among the public, adding that it did not adhere to any of Muda’s principles.

“Following a discussion with the Kedah Muda information chief, it was found that no permission was given for the posting and it was deliberately made with bad intentions.

“Therefore, I take full responsibility for this incident,” he said in a statement.

Luqman said he had decided to suspend the Kedah information chief from any of the party’s activities.

“This is in no way to deny the fact that mistakes on my part may have tarnished the good relations between Muda and other opposition members.

“Therefore, I apologise for this untoward incident and stand ready to take responsibility as Muda’s information chief with any disciplinary action from Muda,” he said.

Separately, it was reported yesterday that PKR had offered Muda three seats in the upcoming Johor elections.

According to Johor PKR chairman Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, PKR and Muda had three rounds of discussions recently that were “honest and open-minded”.

The move comes in the wake of an announcement earlier that DAP and Amanah were making way for Muda to contest in six seats.
