Preacher lodges report to deny Loh Siew Hong’s claims

The report, filed by an aide, said there was nothing in Firdaus Wong's video to embarrass or pressure Loh.

A police report was filed on behalf of preacher Firdaus Wong against claims made by Loh Siew Hong.
PETALING JAYA:
A counter police report has been lodged on behalf of preacher Firdaus Wong against allegations by single mother Loh Siew Hong, who is seeking to annul the religious conversion of her children.

The report was lodged at Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur. Wong told FMT the aide had filed the report on his behalf “because I’ve tested positive for Covid-19”.

A copy of the report shown to FMT stated that there was nothing in a video by Wong that “embarrassed and pressured” Loh to drop her suit to annul her children’s conversion to Islam.

Loh had previously filed a police report claiming that Wong, in a series of Facebook postings, had attempted to “embarrass and pressure” her to drop her application for a judicial review over her children’s conversion.

Loh also said “Wong has also slandered me by saying that I was keeping another man”.

However, Wong’s counter report said no such thing was stated in the video.

FMT is seeking confirmation from Wangsa Maju police.
