“Following the confirmation yesterday that the MACC has opened an investigation paper into Nazlan following a report, we want to know why the MACC failed to act similarly against Azam for allegedly breaching the law in purchasing millions of shares worth millions of ringgit last year,” he said in a statement today.
This comes in the wake of allegations that Nazlan was being investigated for an unexplained RM1 million in his bank account.
Nazlan has lodged a police report over the allegations, saying it was “false, baseless and malicious,” and aimed at undermining his credibility as a Court of Appeal judge.
Yesterday, Azam confirmed that the commission had opened an investigation paper on the matter upon receiving “some reports”, and not because of claims made on portals or social media.
