
However, he said, this would only be explored in detail after GE15.
In an interview with Utusan Malaysia, Rafizi also stressed that PH would not work with Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) if it failed to obtain a simple majority to form the government after the polls.
“We will join (in partnership) only with coalition parties from Sabah and Sarawak, not with PN or BN,” he insisted.
“A coalition government must be a stable one that takes into account the interests of the peninsula and Sabah and Sarawak. I am sure this is something the coalitions in Sabah and Sarawak are also considering.
“We cannot have a government which keeps on changing.”
Malaysia has had three governments in the four years since the 2018 general election which brought PH to power.
Rafizi also reminded all PH component party leaders not to enter negotiations about such cooperation just yet, stating that the run-up to the Nov 19 polls should be spent on strengthening support for PH.
