PETALING JAYA:
The Kelana Jaya LRT line experienced more issues this morning, a day after its service was restored following the closure of 16 stations along the railway line for nearly a week.

Commuters at the Jelatek station in Selangor said they were asked to get out of a train which was stalled there because of technical issues.

This affected service along the line, with others complaining of having to wait for a long time – up to 14 minutes – for the next train.

Twitter user @faizalghazaly said he was on the train from Gombak when he and other commuters were asked to exit at the Jelatek station.

“What’s going on, RapidKL? You spoiled my morning, to be honest,” he said.

He said there were no problems on the line yesterday.

One netizen said she was going to be late for work because of this, while another complained of rude staff members at the station.

In a Twitter post, RapidKL said the train at the Jelatek station had to be removed from the tracks. “Service is now back to normal,” it added.

The Kelana Jaya LRT line fully reopened yesterday, days after service to 16 stations was stopped. Prasarana Malaysia Bhd said it would compensate commuters by offering free rides until Nov 20.
