Exiting Istana Negara to greet the media again, Sultan Abdullah said he could not reveal anything yet.
“Please be rational, we have to move on. We have to move forward for our beloved nation,” he said.
“Let me make the decision as soon as possible.”
This comes after Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob revealed that Barisan Nasional will not back either Pakatan Harapan or Perikatan Nasional to form the government and will remain in the opposition.
Istana Negara has been a hive of activity, with members of the media gathered outside since this morning.
Previously, Sultan Abdullah had given party leaders and heads of coalitions until 2pm to propose their prime ministerial candidates.
