Warisan’s support is also on the premise that the new federal government will resolve in full the 21 claims under MA63, says party president Shafie Apdal.

PETALING JAYA:
Warisan has given its support for Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional to form the government.

Warisan president Shafie Apdal said the party was giving its backing to the two coalitions since the majority of Malaysians had voted for them.

“This support is also on the premise that the new federal government will resolve in full the 21 claims under the Malaysia Agreement 1963,” he said.

He hoped that both PH and BN would be able to secure partners that would enable the formation of the next government to ensure political stability and unity in the country.

The leaders of both coalitions met at the Seri Pacific hotel in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to discuss the possibility of forming a government.

However, it was just announced that BN will not be backing anyone to form the government and will remain in the opposition, according to Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
