Cuepacs president Adnan Mat said the initiatives previously announced should not be retracted because of the change in government.
He said the RM100 increment in annual wages and a special financial aid worth RM700 slated to begin in January, as well as the RM350 financial aid for retirees and RM600 Aidilfitri aid beginning in March, were among the initiatives that should be maintained.
“Like it or not, they (the initiatives) have to take effect on the dates previously announced,” he said in a statement.
Adnan warned the Anwar Ibrahim-led government against repeating the mistakes of the previous Pakatan Harapan administration after it failed to implement the initiatives for civil servants its predecessor announced when it assumed power in 2018.
He also expressed confidence that all MPs will support the prime minister when he tables the mini budget in the coming parliamentary session, expected to begin on Dec 19.
