PETALING JAYA:
Those unhappy with the 15th general election (GE15) results should dispute them in court if there is proof of corruption, deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof said today.

“If dissatisfied, go on and bring the case to court. Prove why the results should be annulled due to corrupt practices,” he told reporters after attending a ceremony to mark the plantation and commodities ministry’s new year mandate for 2023 in Putrajaya.

Yesterday, in a series of tweets, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had claimed that GE15 was the most corrupt of all elections held in Malaysia as bribes were given openly to the voters just before they voted.

“Almost every single candidate who won did so because he had offered big bribes and his party had spent hundreds of millions on campaigning,” Mahathir claimed.

Fadillah, who is also senior vice-president of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Sarawak (PBB), said anyone can make such a claim without providing solid evidence.

“We have many agencies to handle such issues. Let them do their job. If there is a case, let them file it in court,” he added.
