The decision was made by PN’s Supreme Council, the coalition’s secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin said in a statement.
Pejuang applied to join PN as a component party earlier this month, with its president Mukhriz Mahathir saying it was “insufficient” for the party to form electoral pacts with other parties or coalitions to avoid seat clashes.
Mukhriz also said joining PN would prevent a split in Malay votes in the state elections.
Separately, PN’s Supreme Council also decided that component parties would contest under the PN logo for the state elections in Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang.
PN candidates in Terengganu and Kelantan, meanwhile, will contest under the PAS logo.
In the last general election, PN candidates in the two east coast states contested under the Islamic party’s “moon” logo.
“The Supreme Council has instructed the election machinery in these six states to prepare for the polls,” Hamzah said in the statement.
The council also named Sanusi Nor as the coalition’s election director.
Ronald Kiandee and Radzi Jidin, meanwhile, were appointed Sabah PN chairman and the Federal Territories PN chairman respectively.
