PETALING JAYA:
Police are to take statements from the organisers of two Labour Day rallies held in Kuala Lumpur today.

Dang Wangi police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the Peaceful Assembly Act requires that police be notified 10 days before the date of an assembly.

A rally of about 200 people was held in front of the Maju Junction Mall in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, with the participants marching to Medan Pasar. A separate rally in front of Sogo Complex in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman attracted about 30 people, said Noor Dellhan.
