
However, Lim told a press conference today the party will have the final decision on whether she will stand for a second term.
She said the party is finalising its list of candidates but, depending on seat negotiations, the line-up might be made up of candidates representing the unity government.
“I hope to continue serving Kampung Tunku,” she said after an event marking the completion of the Masjid Kampung Tunku project.
“Over the last five years, we have created a good foundation and built strong relationships with the local mosque committee, the residents’ association, temple representatives and NGOs.”
She urged voters in Selangor to come out in full force in the state election and return Pakatan Harapan and its allies for another term.
In the 14th general election in 2018, Lim became Kampung Tunku’s first female assemblyman after defeating MCA’s Tam Gim Tuan with a 30,444-vote majority.
Six states – PH-controlled Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan, as well as PAS-led Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu – will be holding their state elections after their terms end at the end of June.
