
It said the former deputy health minister had assumed the post vacated by Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, who retired on Dec 16, 2022.
Lee has a vast and notable experience primarily in the medical sector, and is currently a resident consultant physician and cardiologist at KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital, it said in a statement today.
He served as deputy health minister in the former Pakatan Harapan administration from May 2018 to February 2020.
Lee, from PKR, was also a three-term Gopeng MP, from March 2008 to November 2022.
