Awang claimed that Syed Hussin called him two nights ago and allegedly made the threat against him. However, the PAS man did not disclose details of the alleged threat.
Contacted by FMT, Awang said: “I cannot comment outside of Parliament, so please refer to my statement made during the Dewan Rakyat sitting.”
He confirmed that he would lodge a police report soon.
Earlier, Speaker Johari Abdul asked Awang to file a motion over the alleged threat since the incident did not take place today.
On Tuesday, Syed Hussin stated his support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in the Dewan Rakyat, becoming the fifth Bersatu MP to back the unity government.
The other four MPs from Bersatu who have declared support for Anwar are Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid (Kuala Kangsar), Suhaili Abdul Rahman (Labuan), Azizi Abu Naim (Gua Musang) and Zahari Kechik (Jeli).
