KLANG:
The police have remanded a foreign man for seven days to assist in their investigation following the discovery of a body cemented into a water tub at a house in Kampung Pendamar, Port Klang, here, yesterday.

Magistrate Amirul Asyraf Abd Rasid allowed the application for the remand, which begins today until Dec 11.

Earlier, the 53-year-old man was escorted by policemen to the Klang Court Complex at 9.47am.

Yesterday, Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the discovery of the body, believed to be that of an adult woman.

He said a man had been detained to assist in the investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Police are now looking for two foreign men – Ranjit Singh and Mandeep Singh – believed to be involved in the case.

The discovery was made following a report received from a local man at 10.58pm on Sunday. The man had been informed by another foreign man that there was a body in the cemented water tub of the house he was renting.
