PETALING JAYA:
An autistic six-year-old boy who was reported missing yesterday was found dead tonight.

Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin’s body was discovered near a river, just 100m from his apartment in Damansara Damai, here, Harian Metro reported.

Petaling Jaya police chief Fakhrudin Abd Hamid said the body was discovered an hour after a search party, involving some 40 police personnel and 60 residents, was organised.

Zayn was last seen around noon yesterday at Block R of Apartment Idaman wearing a white collared T-shirt with the emblem of SK Damansara Damai 2, a black tracksuit and black school shoes.

The boy’s mother had also taken to Facebook to ask members of the public to keep an eye out for her son, whom she said could not speak.
