Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the investigative unit was still trying to piece together all the evidence collected so far.

PETALING JAYA:
Police are still hunting the killer of six-year-old autistic boy Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, says Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.

“Let the police investigate. We have received reports from DNA results, and statements have been taken from many witnesses,” he told Astro Awani, adding that the police are determining if the suspect lives locally.

Razarudin said the investigative unit needed time to process all the evidence gathered so far, adding that officers had been to 280 houses and questioned 172 individuals, including the victim’s parents, witnesses, neighbours, and those who live nearby.

Zayn was reported missing at noon on Dec 5. He was found dead the next day near a stream about 200m from his home with injuries to the neck.
