
At a press conference here, Loke said every party in the unity government was working sincerely for the nation and people.
“We followed the advice of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, to reduce politicking and focus more on building the nation.
“So, in that spirit, we will continue to cooperate and strengthen our government. And hopefully this cooperation will continue post-GE16,” he said.
On Sunday, BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said his coalition and PH must continue to uphold the “sincerity pact” to ensure victory at GE16.
PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari then said that Zahid’s declaration would help the Malays decide now who to support at GE16.
PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim took his oath of office on Nov 24, 2022, five days after the 15th general election which ended in a hung Parliament.
His PH coalition joined forces with BN, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah to form a unity government with the support of MPs from Warisan and Parti Bangsa Malaysia, among others.
GPS chairman Abang Johari Openg previously said the Sarawak coalition would back Anwar throughout the full term.
