KLANG:
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain today rejected the perception by some quarters that Klang is like a Colombian town.

After a walkabout here today, he said Klang is a royal town that is peaceful and clean.

He said the negative perception of Klang was propagated by certain online portals after a robbery incident involving a real estate agent went viral.

“It is an isolated case. I want to clean this (Klang) town of the stigma and perception likening it to a Colombian (town),” he said.

Razarudin said several operations have been carried out in the past few weeks to stamp out criminal activities, and to get rid of the negative perception that some people have on Klang.

He said other areas in Selangor such as Gombak, Kajang and Petaling Jaya have reported more criminal activity than in Klang.
