“Tamrin is scheduled to give his statement to the police on April 16 at 10.30am,” his lawyer Rafique Rashid Ali told FMT.
In an X posting yesterday, former law minister Zaid Ibrahim shared his conversation with Tamrin, where he extended Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings and advised Tamrin to reconsider the tone of his blog posts.
“Lo and behold, he (Tamrin) said it was too late. Bukit Aman had already summoned him for questioning over his article, predicting DAP would rule the country in 10 years,” Zaid said.
In the blog post dated April 4, Tamrin elaborated on his concerns and predictions about the country’s politics, particularly DAP’s potential dominance in the coming decade.
Tamrin had cautioned against potential repercussions for the Malay community should DAP assume power.
The former Batu Berendam MP said PAS must emerge as a defender of Malay rights and Islam, calling on the Islamic party to foster young leaders committed to national and religious interests.
