The anti-Anwar rally organised by Demi Rakyat is scheduled to take place outside Seri Perdana, the prime minister’s official residence.

PETALING JAYA:
Three influencers have been summoned by the police over the upcoming demonstration “Rakyat Lawan Anwar” organised by the Demi Negara movement.

Demi Negara said the trio are Aidil Yunus, who is known on social media as YB Viral, Tunku Intan Abdul Hamid (Dayangku Intan), and Siti Zulaikha Olivia (Mak Iban Olivia).

The movement said the trio are being investigated for making statements that could lead to public mischief and for misuse of network facilities, according to Demi Negara.

Demi Negara accused the police of being used as a tool to intimidate critics of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the government.

“Demi Negara also believes that the government is employing this intimidation tactic to stop the demonstration – the first ever protest against the unity government to be held in Putrajaya – as it is going to be very detrimental to the government,” the group said.

It said the three influencers have been called to appear at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at 3pm tomorrow.

The demonstration ‘Rakyat Lawan Anwar’ is scheduled to be held on June 29 in front of the prime minister’s official residence, Seri Perdana, in Putrajaya.

Demi Negara is also expected to give a press conference outside the Dang Wangi police headquarters at 5pm tomorrow.
