Elderly man, disabled son found dead at home in Muar

MUAR:
The bodies of a senior citizen and his son, who was disabled, were found in their home in Sungai Abong here today.

Muar police chief Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the duo, aged 76 and 37, were found after policemen carried out an inspection on the house at about 1pm.

“A member of the public lodged a police report about an odour coming from a neighbour’s house. The two men were believed to have died a few days ago.

“A disabled woman, aged 44, believed to be the elderly man’s daughter, was also found in a weak state,” Raiz said in a statement tonight.

He said the bodies of both men were sent to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital here for a post-mortem, and the case has been classified as sudden death.

The woman was sent to the same hospital for treatment.
