The Borneo Post quoted a source as saying that the suspects were an assistant medical officer and four nurses. They were reportedly arrested at 9.40am today at the Sabah MACC headquarters.
“Preliminary investigations found that the four women and one man, all in their 30s, are believed to have submitted false claims for overtime work from 2020 to 2021.”
Sabah MACC director S Karunanithy confirmed the arrests, saying the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
He added that the suspects have been released on bail and will be charged in the Kota Kinabalu sessions court on Thursday.
