PARIS:
Olympique Lyonnais will review footage of violence by their supporters after the Ligue 1 club was eliminated from the French Cup last 32 by amateurs Bourgoin-Jallieu today.

Bourgoin fans invaded the pitch after the fifth tier team won on penalties and were joined by Lyon supporters before fights broke.

“OL does not tolerate any violence from its supporters.

“We are contacting Bourgoin to view the images, take the necessary measures and identify the perpetrators of this violence, whether verbal, physical or racist,” OL director-general Laurent Prud’homme wrote on X.

“These incidents must no longer tarnish the image of the OL.”
